Earaches occur mostly in younger children but can also occur in adults.  The pain may come and go and vary in intensity, but for most children earaches can be very debilitating.   The pain can become so intense that it can cause a child to become extremely irritable, fussy and even disrupt their sleep.

Chiropractic has been shown (verifying) to be very effective in helping young children who struggle with earaches.  In a study published in the ‘Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics’ (1997), forty-six children under the age of five received regular chiropractic adjustments over a course of time to address their earaches symptoms.  The researchers found that 93 percent of all patient earache episodes improved, 75 percent improved within 10 days or fewer and 43 percent of the patients earaches improved with only one or two visits.

At our office we focus (scope) on dysfunctions or disorders arising from the structures or functions of the spine and the effects of those dysfunctions or disorders on the nervous system.

Because chiropractic care focuses on root issues, we always start with a thorough new patient exam. Our clinic is equipped with a full-service digital high definition x-ray facility and advanced digital nerve scan technology, allowing the doctor to make a more precise diagnosis.

The goal of this initial evaluation is to allow the doctor to determine the underlying root cause of your health concern and to establish a strategy to correct it.  Upon contacting our Burlington office one of our team members will schedule you or your child in for a new patient examination with our doctor.  We look forward to helping you.
